2012 MCAA and ANHS Joint Conference
at Western Michigan University

Post-conference report

The Diether H. Haenicke Institute for Global Education at Western Michigan University is pleased to host the 61st Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs (MCAA) from September 21-23, 2012 as a joint conference with WMU's chapter of the Association for Nepal and Himalayan Studies, at WMU's Fetzer Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

A regional conference of the Association of Asian Studies (AAS), MCAA has provided a forum for scholars and teachers of Asian Studies in the Midwest to gather and exchange knowledge about the history and cultures of Asia for over a half-century. The conference will feature panels and roundtables at which faculty and graduate and undergraduate students present and discuss new research and pedagogical tools.

Conference registration will soon be open via this website. All invited presenters must be members of MCAA and must have pre-registered by August 31, 2012 to attend and present. The membership fee will be collected as part of the registration fee for the conference.
